Verified ClientHired Law firm 2020-2021In May 2020, I was referred to Lisa from a friend to represent me in my divorce. My experience conversing with her over the course of 9 months confirms that I couldn’t be more pleased with the advice and direction that I received from her throughout every step of the process. She’s extremely passionate and knowledgeable about every aspect of her job and was accessible at all times to ensure that all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I highly recommend contacting Lisa for representation if necessary. She truly cares and is willing to go above and beyond the call of duty for her clients.

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2020I wanted a top female divorce attorney in my county and googled that. A list of "top 10" came up and I reviewed all of them and decided to call Lisa B. Rudolph. I called and she asked me a lot of questions about my situation and was very supportive. She also advised me of my different options and cautions. A couple of days later I called again to provide more info about my situation that she asked for. The confidence that I felt at this point made my decision to retain Lisa as my attorney a no-brainer. She quickly put together the forms that were needed for myself and my wife to sign with a notary, and followed through with the hearing and other proceedings and then she filed the case. I couldn't believe how fast this all happened and the outcome was better than I ever imagined it would be. After all was said and done, she told me that "I was really lucky". I don't believe it was just luck - I think she made it happen. She really cared about me as her client. She is easy to talk to and I could always reach her quickly by phone, text , or email and that is so important! Selecting her from that list was one of the smartest things I have ever done.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
