Dalton Personal Injury Law Firm
Overview
For more than 40 years, attorney R. Leslie Waycaster Jr. has aggressively represented hundreds of clients throughout northwest Georgia, securing millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements in cases ranging from personal injury, wrongful death and business disputes to employment law.
As the founder and sole attorney at The Waycaster Firm in Dalton, Georgia, attorney Waycaster deliberately keeps his caseload low so that he can devote substantial attention to everyone he represents. He helps resolve matters through negotiation, mediation and litigation.
A trusted and experienced relationship builder, he is a results-oriented problem solver who cares about his clients and takes the extra steps to secure a resolution. Hardworking and easy-going, he subscribes to a well-prepared and thoughtful approach in law, serving as an aggressive advocate for every client.
Personal injury, business litigation and mediation
Mr. Waycaster began practicing law in 1980 and focuses on these areas:
• Personal injury: Whether injured in a motor vehicle collision, a slip-and-fall, a violent assault, a work-related incident, by a defective product, or through medical malpractice, he will tenaciously fight for clients. He goes after the negligent parties and stands up to insurance companies. His practice also represents clients in wrongful death cases.
• Business litigation: Helping small businesses remains a priority. He solves business disputes, resolves breach of contract situations along with fraud and violations of the Fair Business Practices Act. When necessary, he steers clients away from litigation, focusing on mediation and dispute resolution. But he is not afraid to tackle commercial litigation cases.
• Mediation: An advocate of resolving legal matters through mediation, Mr. Waycaster skillfully does so in cases ranging from employer-employee disputes, business disputes, and personal injury and wrongful death cases to probate issues and division of property in divorce cases.
An experienced litigator, he has represented clients in more than 100 jury trials in 25 Georgia counties, and many of these trials took place in federal court. Because he is so well-respected and well-prepared, many of his cases are settled out of court rather than at trial.
Knowledge of Georgia clients and communities
A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, attorney Waycaster understands Georgia communities and client needs.
His bar admissions include the state of Georgia, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Well-respected by his legal peers, Mr. Waycaster was selected to FindLaw's Super Lawyers list in 2023.
