Verified ClientHired Attorney 2020-2021Attorney Faucette handled my recent divorce. I’m so glad I chose her. She’s very knowledgeable and compassionate. She was helpful through the entire process. Because of her skills and character I was stress free through the entire process. I would definitely recommend her if you’re looking for a responsible and professional divorce attorney.

Hired Attorney 2021No I will not she cheated me out of $3500 call her no respond , no text message it was a child custody case Iam going to put this fraud on channel 2 action news. Maybe I can get some answers. I suggest whoever that is filing a complaint against this fraud attorney would do the same. Let's expose her other things she done to a lot of people and played on their emotional feelings.

Hired Attorney 2023My significant other hired Attorney Alicia Faucette for representation regarding a legal matter involving a family issue. He was referred to her by someone whom he knew. He met with her at a pseduo, satellite office location, appeared comfortable with her promise of professional, legal service and paid her the requested $2,500 retainer fee. After the fee was paid, he never received any correspondence from her regarding the status of his legal matter. He attempted to make contact with her over the course of several weeks following payment to no avail however, when she finally responded to the many, many messages he left, she told him that she had been on a cruise/vacation and that she would follow-up with him as soon as possible. Unfortunately, Attorney Faucette continued to ignore his phone calls and messages until yesterday, July 31, 2023, when he informed her that he would be filing a formal complaint with the State Bar of Georgia and requested a return of his money. I would not recommend Attorney Alicia Faucette and advise everyone to seek legal counsel elsewhere. Furthermore, I am hoping that after the State of Georgia review of his complaint and possibly the complaints made by others, that an appropriate consequence will be rendered.

Hired Attorney 2022-2023Honestly if I could give zero stars I would. My husband is in the process of trying to get custody of his two older kids. We found Ms. Faucette and thought this is going to be easy and stress free. BOY WERE WE WRONG!! It is now a year 2 months later since she ‘’filed and served the mother’’ nothing else has been done. Opposing counsel has tried reaching her as well to no avail.( I know because I have access to the docket and see everything that has been provided) My husband sent her an email just requesting a refund for the remainder of the retainer as well as a certified letter NO RESPONSE. We (including my self) tried calling her office MULTIPLE times 2/3 times a day NO RESPONSE. May I add, when she finally responded to him was when he said that he was going to the bar, she said that she’s not ignoring him and that when he first hired her, she had a full staff now she doesn’t. Okayyyy?? It’s so sad to see how she has been taking advantage of hard working people, not only US but everyone else leaving reviews on google, Yelp etc… we have also sent a grievance to the Georgia Bar regarding Ms. Faucette’s unacceptable behavior. If you are in need of an attorney for a family law case DO NOT HIRE ALICA FAUCETTE or you will be just like us in these reviews.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
