Hired Law firm 2024Terrible firm. They are very unethical people. I do not recommend them at all! I fired them and they kept charging my retainer while I specifically asked them to STOP working on my case (as no work could be done). They still kept on charging me and toke all my retainer money.

Hired Law firm 2019-2020I was very pleased to have my divorce and estate planning done by Attorney Bill King. He was very detail-oriented and professional.

Hired Law firm 2019-2021My divorce and my subsequent Estate Planning documents (Will, POA and Advanced Health Directive) by Attorney William King. It was a very tumultuous time for me and for Mr. King's level-headed and empathetic approach guiding me through that time I will be eternally grateful. I am in a much better place now and it is in no small part thanks to The Manely Firm.

Hired Law firm 2022Working with this firm was like taking a breath of fresh air. They took away all of the stress of having a domestic relations matter. The Staff and Attorneys were very professional and very knowledgeable. If I ever had another need for their service I will be back. How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
