Overview

Caleb H. Ratliff joined Cox Byington Twyman LLP in 2019. He practices in the areas of real estate transactions, wills, trusts and estate administration, and landlord/tenant disputes. In 2022, Mr. Ratliff became a partner with the firm.

Prior to joining the Cox Byington Twyman LLP, Mr. Ratliff practiced law in Florida and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2016. He became a member of the Georgia Bar in 2018. He is admitted to practice in all Georgia trial and appellate courts, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Mr. Ratliff received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Georgia, where he majored in Criminal Justice. He also obtained his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he received the William Seaborn Ashley, Jr. Scholarship for his academic achievement while at UGA in the area of trusts and estates law.

Mr. Ratliff was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2026 in recognition of his excellence in legal practice, peer recognition, and professional achievement. The distinction is awarded through a selection process that includes peer nominations, independent research, and evaluations across multiple indicators of professional accomplishment. Only a small percentage of attorneys in each state are selected to the Rising Stars list each year, making it a notable mark of credibility and respect within the legal community. Inclusion reflects both proven results and a reputation for high ethical standards, skill, and client service.

Mr. Ratliff ls an active member of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia. He was named as the recipient of the 2024 Joe Dent Hospitality Award within the YLD for his service to the YLD. In 2025, Mr. Ratliff was elected as the Secretary of the Young Lawyers Division and currently serves in that role for 2025-26.

Mr. Ratliff is also active throughout the Rome community. He is actively involved in his church and currently serves as President of the Rome area University of Georgia alumni chapter.
