    Hired Attorney 2023
In 2023, I hired Douglas McKillip for a quiet title action expecting professionalism, competence, and protection of my legal interests. Instead, I am currently experiencing what I consider one of the most frustrating and damaging professional relationships I have ever encountered. Just recently, an adjacent neighbor who has a shed encroaching my property that, was encroaching when I purchased the property at a tax sale, is now asking the court to set aside the quiet title judgment due to negligence. When I hired Douglas McKillip brought in a special master attorney whose mishandling and apparent negligence created serious problems in my case, and has caused direct harm to me financially and emotionally. Rather than taking responsibility, correcting the situation, or standing behind his work, Douglas McKillip completely failed to advocate for his own client once things went wrong. Even more disturbing were the communications and conduct with the neighbors attorney. It appears to be inappropriate cooperation and communications with opposing counsel while my concerns and interests were ignored. I am left feeling abandoned, misled, and completely unprotected in a legal matter where I paid for professional legal representation and guidance. To make matters worst, Douglas took NO ACCOUNTABILITY, NO APLOGY, NO MEANINGFUL ASSISTANCE, NO REFUND, NO EFFORT TO MAKE THIS SITUATION RIGHT. When attorneys accept clients, they accept a duty to act competently, ethically, and in the clients best interests. In my opinion, this attorney failed badly in those responsibilities. If you are considering hiring this attorney for a quiet title action or any real estate matter, ask very hard questions before trusting him with your property rights, money, and future.
