Hired Attorney 2020-2022Imagine not wanting to select a star, but having to give one, just to leave a review! I secured representation from Oliver Hughes LLC almost two years ago. They initially seemed like a dream team. As the trial date approached (almost 1.5yrs later), the dream began to feel more like a nightmare. I needed help after a contractor failed to finish a quality job in my home (despite receiving payment). I provided photos, receipts, and other artifacts at the onset of the case. As the trial approached (nearly 1.5 years later), I was asked to resubmit the same evidence that I had already supplied. I wouldn't hear from my representing attorney, Amber Oliver (to discuss my case), until the day before trial. This "prep" lasted for less than 5 minutes and did not involve many specific questions about my complaint. As Ms. Oliver presented my case the next day, her incompetence and poor preparation became painfully clear. She allowed the defense to state that they had never seen receipts that I provided in advance (twice). She also responded to questions from the judge incorrectly, despite the artifacts I submitted proving otherwise. It was evident that Ms. Oliver had not reviewed the evidence in this case, prior to trial. The judge asked me several questions that Ms. Oliver should have known the answer to, but she never spoke up! Ultimately, I ended up losing what should have been an open and shut case. If Ms. Oliver would have bothered to to speak with me about my case in depth and review and present the evidence that was supplied twice, the outcome would have been drastically different. A third grader could gave argued my case better. After wasting over 5 thousand dollars on this "rent a lawyer" facade known as Oliver Huges LLC, I caution you! If you have money and time to waste, this is the representation for you! Don’t do it.. this is a true waste of money!
