Customer Reviews for Leon Rothstein, Attorney at Law

Hired Law firm 2023-2024We spent the better part of 2023 and 2024 fighting some charges against our son. Leon Rothstein was our counsel through all of this. He was calm and thorough in his interviews with each of us. He is a no-nonsense person who doesn't show anger in the court room or at the person he is cross-examining. He is able to ask questions that make you think and review what has been said. He is attentive enough to catch the mistakes of the prosecuting attorney and their clients. We are so appreciative and glad we too had the patience to listen to him and allow him to work his mgic. Thank you Mr. Rothstein, from the bottom of our hearts!

Consulted Law firm 2021Leon-SO rude, disrespectful, arrogant, interruptive, does NOT care about the people or the case just the $$$ very overpriced for what is advertised. Should have read all the horrible reviews before even calling. If I could give a negative number I would

Consulted Law firm 2019I normally really hesitate to leave any review of any kind especially one that is not so positive for the person performing the services. I will make this short and sweet.... DO NOT HIRE LEON ROTHSTEIN! HE WAS NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL AND WAS CONSTANTLY LOSING MY PAPERWORK, ADDING OTHERS CASES INTO MINE FILE THAT HE SENT HOME WITH ME THAT HAD VERY PERSONAL INFORMATION. HE FAILED TO TELL ME OF AN EXTREMELY IMPORTANT STATUS UPDATE HEARING 3 WEEKS LATE. I GAVE HIM SO MUCH TO SCREW ME SO BADLY. NO HARD FEELINGS BUT DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
