Attorney Information
Overview
Bryan Norton is the founding attorney of Liberty Law Idaho, a Meridian-based practice built on a simple idea: legal guidance should be clear, accessible, and genuinely helpful- especially during life's most important decisions.
Bryan focuses his practice on estate planning, probate, family law, and homeowner disputes, including HOA and short-term rental matters. He drafts flat-fee estate plans, giving clients cost certainty instead of open-ended hourly bills. He has developed particular authority in Idaho short-term rental homeowner rights, having successfully litigated these issues at the Idaho Supreme Court in North Henry’s Lake Homeowners Association v. Norton. A military veteran himself, Bryan is proud to represent fellow veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He is admitted to practice law in both Idaho and Utah, as well the Federal District Court and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Bryan built Liberty Law to run lean and technology-forward, which keeps overhead low and lets him and his team stay responsive to clients. Bryan grew up in Southern California, and after high school, enlisted in the United States Army. After his initial training, he was selected to be part of the 75th Ranger Regiment, part of the United States Special Operations Command. After four years, Bryan was honorably discharged from the military and became a police officer in Washington State. During that time, he also earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and history from the University of Washington with honors. After sixteen years, he retired from law enforcement and attended the University of Idaho College of Law, earning a place on the Dean’s List each semester he was enrolled.
Bryan has been married to his wife, Patty, for over thirty years and they have five children and two grandchildren. He is active in community service with his church and enjoys providing pro bono legal work. In 2018, Bryan was recognized as a Leader in Law by the Idaho Business Review. Bryan lives in the Meridian area and welcomes the chance to help you find clarity when it matters most.
