Hired Attorney 2010-2024Please stay away from this person. He is no “man”, his is satanic. He and his buddy, Christopher Wehrman took me to court monthly for 15 years. I couldn’t afford a lawyer, my ex left me homeless and penniless. They took away my 4 young daughters, my alimony, child support and retirement fund to pay their fees. My ex is a millionaire remarried with 4 more kids and said he was “going to bury” me. He’d rather pay someone else to raise the girls than pay me child support. 7 judges, 2 child reps, no lawyer and hundreds of thousands of dollars I don’t have. I have a master’s degree and stayed home to raise my girls. They took everything from me. They put me on the stand with no representation, they asked inappropriate questions, they BULLIED” me because they knew I had nothing. They had me arrested and ankles monitored for texting (nothing threatening). They even asked to change judges at one point because they knew she favored the women. He is the devil and should be disbarred. Completely unprofessional and inhumane. A total disgrace. As was Cook County court system to allow such abuse. A disgusting, dirty, unethical lawyer! Shame on him. I don’t know how he sleeps at night.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
