Verified ClientHired Law firm 2015-2021Mr. Bender has been my child's Guardian ad Litem (GaL) for several years now, and he has been every bit of a guardian for my child. He looks out for what's in the best interest of the child and not what's in the best interest of the child's parents; this is what children need...someone who is truly a champion for them. My child is more important than anything in my life, and for that reason alone, I want the most capable person there is to represent my child; my child's life depends on it. If there's ever a time to not be concerned about pinching pennies, then making sure your child has the best representation possible is it. His nearly 30 years of experience speaks volumes. He has seen and heard it all, and he is well respected in his field. He knows his business, and more importantly, he recognizes BS when he sees it; this is a very critical skill to have, because in a long drawn out case, plenty of lies and half trues WILL be told. Therefore, if you're looking for a GaL that truly wants what's in the best interest of your child, then I highly recommend Michael Ian Bender.

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2019-2021I have a complicated divorce that has lasted years. I had several lawyers before I found Caesar & Bender. Hard working, knowledgable, and responsive, their representation has made a massive difference in my case. I am grateful they agreed to represent me.

Hired Law firm 2020-2022Molly Caesar was an excellent attorney, a voice of reason, and a great support during my very drawn-out, traumatic divorce. She kept me sane and the divorce moving forward. Her experience and knowledge of the process were indispensable. 13/10 would recommend!

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
