Overview
Michael "Mike" LaMonica is a founding partner of LaMonica & Sprague, LLC. Mike has developed a reputation as a dynamic and personable trial lawyer. In 2004, Mike graduated from Indiana University, with highest distinction. Mike then received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007. While in law school, Mike received a CALI award for excellence after earning the highest grade in his medical malpractice class.
He represents clients throughout the Chicagoland area in matters involving all different types of personal injury cases. He initially formed Fisher & LaMonica, P.C. in 2011, and went on to obtain millions of dollars in settlements and judgments for his clients. Mike was selected by Illinois Super Lawyers in 2014-2022 as a "Rising Star," recognizing the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state.
Clients appreciate Mike's thorough and personal attention to their legal problems. In addition to being their zealous advocate, Mike is sympathetic to the effect an injury can have on an individual's ability to work and to care for themselves and their family. For this reason, Mike prides himself on working efficiently to get his clients the compensation they deserve as quickly as the law allows.
Mike is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Chicago Bar Association. He is able to communicate with clients in Spanish and Greek.
When Mike is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife (Emily) and sons (Andrew, Benjamin, and James). Mike particularly loves coaching his sons' sports teams and traveling with his family.
