Hired Attorney 2016-2024Dr. Otubusin has been very diligent and professional in supporting both my businesses and me personally. He always goes out of his way to make sure everything is completed properly, efficiently, effectively and at a great value.

Hired Attorney 2005-2022Paul is the best business attorney we've ever used. Beyond that he has been very helpful on personal matters or advice. In 7 years he's never once been more but happy and friendly. My options are always carefully thought out and weighed and then discussed with me and personal opinions included when requested or necessary. Any emails have been answered within hours if not minutes, or at least acknowledged when they are received. As my business(s) has grown, Paul has been there to help. Beyond legal-work, Paul just checks up to see how I am every once in awhile. Great guy

Hired Attorney 2004My family hired him to represent an Estate in pursuit of a Wrongful Death action. Attorney Otubusin was very knowledagble about malpractice laws. It's very sad to say he misrepresented the estate and did not deliver legal services he assured us he would do. He was very deceptive and took advantage of us. We believe he benefited from under the table financial gain. He never went to Probate and abruptly quit right before trial.thus gave room for the law suit to get dismissed. His un- ethical attorney conduct and skills in psychology, mind games was used to trick and deceive us. He actually aided the hospital defendant who never paid one dime to the estate for burning our relative to death in a hospital bed. We wish we never met him and did business with him. He used us to financially enrich himself. Buyers Beware! I do Not Recomend him.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
