Hired Law firm 2023-2024I found myself in some very serious traffic-related trouble. A neighbor of mine is a former practicing attorney in Will County, and he told me he knew exactly where I needed to turn for help in a dire situation - Ted Hammel (along with with tag-team assistance from attorney Terry Wallace.) They found a way to defend, and decisively win, a case most other attorneys would think was a lost cause. My attorney neighbor assured me that, in hiring Ted and Terry, they'd leave no possible defense stone unturned. They did not let me down and I am deeply appreciative. I'm confident they bring that kind of zealous representation to every case. I'd advise anyone needing help with a traffic offense to take my advice to heart and make the call to Ted Hammel.

Hired Law firm 2019-2021Wow.. just wow! I chose Mr Hammel because of positive reviews. I met with him. Discussing the charges..aggravated DUI Disorderly conduct and more..I was discouraged..Mr Hammel was very explanatory and he works with you not against you. His prices reflect his experience in dealing with these types of cases and I hired him and when it came time for my bench trial he wrapped it up like the pro he is. He was well worth every Dollar spent! My wife calls him "the suave lawyer" lol..thank you Mr Hammel..I owe you my life! Matt. (I tried putting five ***** for the review but it says 4 1/2-5)?

Hired Law firm 2019-2021In 2019 I had an situation that unfolded into a complicated mess. I felt helpless until Ted Hammel was referred to me by a relative. I felt relieved from the first day I met Mr. Hammel and I felt he had ingenious abilities and knew he would fight hard for me. I was vey concerned if I could afford his counsel but he worked out a payment plan that was suitable for me. Mr. Hammel & his staff were always professional & compassionate, whether I called or was at his office. He really cares about his clients and fought like a Champ for me in court. I was very fortunate with my finalization of my case & forever grateful. He will be the Attorney I always recommend to others.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
