    Hired Law firm 2024-2025
WARNING TO FAMILIES CONSIDERING STEVEN E. GLINK: Parents hire attorneys during vulnerable moments believing they are paying for strong advocacy, strategic guidance, and real action. In our experience, retaining Steven E. Glink felt like throwing thousands of dollars away while receiving little communication, minimal preparation, repeated delays, and virtually no meaningful progress in return. We were left constantly chasing updates, questioning whether important details were being handled at all, and feeling completely unsupported throughout the process. Instead of receiving reassurance or competent guidance during an already stressful situation, we experienced frustration, confusion, and growing concern about the lack of urgency and professionalism. What made the situation even more disturbing was that after we had already paid a substantial retainer and saw virtually no meaningful action taken on our case, we were later told that if we wanted to continue pursuing legal action against the school district, we would need to provide an additional $10,000. After the lack of progress and advocacy we had already experienced, this felt unbelievable and deeply inappropriate. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Steven E. Glink under any circumstances and would strongly urge families to seek representation elsewhere. Do not hire Steven Glink unless you are prepared to spend significant money while experiencing even more stress, frustration, and emotional trauma throughout an already difficult situation. Families dealing with sensitive legal matters deserve transparency, responsiveness, and genuine advocacy, and we strongly caution others to carefully research and consider all options before placing their trust and finances into this representation. After everything our family experienced, I believe Mr. Glink should be deeply ashamed of the level of representation and conduct we encountered during one of the hardest periods of our lives.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
