Eric C. Keuling is the founding attorney of the Keuling Law Firm, where he provides experienced representation in tax law, business law, family law, and immigration law. With more than 18 years of legal and professional experience, Mr. Keuling has extensive experience in tax law and tax resolution, representing individuals and businesses in matters involving the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Indiana Department of Revenue, and other taxing authorities.
A significant focus of Mr. Keuling’s practice is helping individuals and businesses resolve federal and state tax problems. His tax resolution practice includes matters involving back taxes, IRS and state tax collections, installment agreements, Offers in Compromise, penalty abatement, tax liens and levies, wage garnishments, unfiled and delinquent tax returns, payroll and employment tax liabilities, audits, and other tax controversies. Mr. Keuling works directly with his clients to evaluate their financial and legal circumstances, develop practical resolution strategies, and represent them before the IRS and state taxing authorities.
Mr. Keuling earned his J.D. from Rutgers University Law School in 2007, where he served as a Student Editor of the Rutgers Business Law Review. In 2016, he earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, completing advanced graduate-level study focused specifically on federal taxation.
Before founding the Keuling Law Firm, Mr. Keuling gained extensive tax experience with U.S. law firms and major international accounting firms. Most notably, he served as a Tax Director with Grant Thornton Japan in Tokyo, Japan, advising clients on complex tax matters in an international business environment. His background combines private legal practice, professional tax consulting, and advanced graduate-level tax education, providing him with a strong foundation for representing clients facing complex federal and state tax issues.
Mr. Keuling lived and worked in Tokyo, Japan for more than a decade and is fluent in Japanese. His extensive international professional experience provides him with a unique perspective in cross-border matters and in representing clients from diverse cultural, professional, and business backgrounds.
Mr. Keuling is admitted to practice before the Indiana and New York state courts, the U.S. Tax Court, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
In addition to his tax practice, Mr. Keuling represents clients in immigration, business, and family law matters. Across each area of his practice, he emphasizes direct attorney-client communication, careful analysis, and practical solutions tailored to each client’s particular circumstances.
Eric is an active member of the Indianapolis Bar Association (IndyBar) and the Indiana State Bar Association. He is also a proud member of the Japan-America Society of Indiana.
