Hired Law firm 2014A hired a lawyer in California that sold his law firm left me hanging did not submit the medical records or anything to the judge. Gregory stepped in like a week before I was due to go to court handled everything as a professional. Went to court with me barely having the time to know my case or details. Got everything in order and got me my disability. Even took the time to Talk to me and answer all my questions thoroughly after he won my case. This guy is just a awesome attorney That actually cares about his clients I would highly recommend him. Actually was able to finally go back to work and then got cancer and had to go back on disability and now I'm being jerked around on my back pay so I am retaining him again.

Hired Law firm 2018-2020I had several attorneys before retaining Mr Beckwith for my SSDI case. Not one of them took the time to meet with me or even have an extensive conversation with me about my case. Mr Beckwith met with me in person and had many conversations with me. He was almost always available to take my calls and answer any questions I had. He was very prompt in returning any missed calls. Mr Beckwith is a very professional, respectful, and yet down to earth gentleman with a great sense of humor. I cannot say enough about how great my experience with him was. I recommend Mr Beckwith to everyone I know and those I don't.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
