Attorney Information
Overview
Eric Farr is an attorney who represents disability claimants before the Social Security Administration and in the U.S. federal courts. He works closely alongside Matt Richter as one of the two attorneys at Keller & Keller predominantly devoted to appeals to the federal courts of claims denied at hearings, after having previously focused more on administrative hearings within the firm.
Eric was born in Indianapolis but spent most of his childhood in the Florida panhandle. He received his undergraduate degree, a B.A. in English, through the Burnett Honors College program at the University of Central Florida in 2011 and returned to Indiana to attend the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis, where he received his J.D. in 2014. While in law school, he worked as a law clerk for a small firm in Columbus, Indiana, that was focused on Social Security disability appeals. He also participated in moot court and served as a Dean’s Tutorial Society tutor in 2012.
Following law school, Eric worked as a solo attorney in Greenwood before joining Keller & Keller in the fall of 2019.
Eric is licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana and is admitted to appear before the United States District Courts of Southern Indiana, Northern Indiana, Southern Illinois, Central Illinois, Northern Illinois, Eastern Wisconsin, Western Wisconsin, and New Mexico, as well as before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
As of 2026, Eric has represented claimants in over 500 Social Security disability hearings and over 200 district court cases. He remains proud of his high overall success rate in hearing outcomes and district court decisions.
Eric is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Social Security Disability Law Section, serving as Chairperson of the section for 2025-2027. He is also a member of the National Organization for Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR) and the Advocates, Counselors, and Representatives for the Disabled (ACRD) organization. He has presented continuing legal education alongside Matt Richter for NOSSCR and at multiple Indiana Civil Legal Assistance conferences.
Outside of work, Eric is a self-described nerd. He received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Law & Literature for a paper applying an interdisciplinary law and literature approach to the work of Ursula K. Le Guin. He also presented work on the use of natural law concepts in popular video games at the Law and Culture Conference at St. Mary’s University, Twickenham, London, in 2016. It should be unsurprising, then, that he enjoys reading and watching science fiction, playing video games, and reading about history and the paranormal. He also has a lifelong obsession with dinosaurs and enjoys trips to museums, books about paleontology, and any media depictions of prehistoric life that he can come across. Perhaps more surprisingly, he has recently developed an avid interest in horse racing and can sometimes be found at the track in Shelbyville.
Eric lives in Beech Grove with his wife (his high school sweetheart!) and their very spoiled dog.
