An accomplished trial attorney with 25 years litigation experience, Mark uses his extensive trial experience to fight for the clients at Banks and Brower. In addition to well over 200 criminal jury and bench trials, Mark has over seven years of litigation experience in civil and family law matters, including training in collaborative divorce practice, service as a guardian ad litem and four years as the Executive Director of the State’s largest Child Advocacy Center. Mark’s blend of civil and criminal practice – in addition to four years working closely with the department of child services – gives him unique experience that few other family law attorneys can boast. This ranges from a familiarity with the department of child services, experience in tracking down financial assets and streams of income, to presenting complex cases in court.

Mark’s previous experience includes years of family and child-focused litigation – Adoption, Child Custody, Child Support, Parental and Grandparent Rights, Guardianship, Paternity, Prenuptial & Marital Agreements, and Restraining Orders. Mark’s time as a prosecutor focused on trial work dedicated to prosecuting sex crimes, child abuse and homicide cases for nearly two decades.

What sets Mark apart from most former Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys is his work as the Executive Director of the Marion County Child Advocacy Center. The Child Advocacy Center served as the hub of a multi-disciplinary team that included the Department of Child Services. Daily interaction with the Department of Child Services provided valuable insight that allowed him to quickly transition into private practice in 2014, when he first began working on family law cases. Sound investigation, strong advocacy skills and hard work provide the backbone of his legal practice.

Mark has represented clients in a variety of other civil matters including employment matters, whistleblowing protection, Olympic law, sexual harassment, homicide charges, insurance claims against national carriers and complex internal investigations. Mark has also participated in discovery compliance with Senatorial and Congressional inquiries and has reviewed of hundreds of tortious claims of sexual abuse.

Born in Canada and raised in Saudi Arabia, Mark received his law degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2000, and became a naturalized Citizen of the United States in 2007.
