Paula J. Schaefer (she/her/hers) is a partner in the law firm of Ruppert & Schaefer P.C., where she practices almost exclusively in the area of family law. Paula is a Certified Family Law Specialist, as certified by the Family Law Certification Board. Prior to her admission to the practice of law in 1994, Ms. Schaefer was employed for nearly 7 years as a paralegal and law clerk.

She received her Juris Doctorate from the Indiana University Law School - Indianapolis and has a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University in Legal Administration. She is trained as a Collaborative Law professional and is able to handle family law matters using the collaborative method. Paula is also a trained and registered domestic relations mediator and mediates divorce and post-decree cases. Ms. Schaefer is a member of the Indianapolis and Indiana Bar Associations.
