Romy Elswerky has been practicing law since 2014. He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 2011 and his legal education from Indiana University, Robert H. McKinney School of Law. He graduated in 2014 and began his legal career as an attorney. Romy was selected by his peers as a Rising Star from 2020-2026.
He began his legal career as a Criminal Defense attorney in Lafayette, IN from October 2014 to May 2016. He then made the transition to Family Law with a firm in Hamilton County until August of 2021. Romy also spent time in Shelby County practicing primarily Family Law.
He handles paternity, divorce, custody, child support, and other related Family Law cases. Romy chose to practice primarily in the area of Family Law because he has seen the impact divorce can have on children, both good and bad, and the toll it can take on his clients. Being able to help people during cases that will affect not only their financial situation, but also their relationship with their children, is very rewarding to Romy.
Romy is originally from northeast Indiana. He was raised mostly in Fort Wayne, but alsogrew up in Decatur and Ossian. After graduating high school, Romy has lived in Bloomington, Indianapolis, Speedway, and Lafayette and currently resides in Hamilton County. When he is not working, Romy enjoys playing sports, watching IU basketball, and visiting with family.
