Overview

Parr Injury attorney John McLaughlin has focused his practice on representing personal injury victims since his first year joining the firm. John primarily handles automobile and trucking accident cases involving serious injuries and wrongful death, and he also handles all other areas of the firm’s injury practice including medical malpractice. John serves as the Managing Partner for Parr Richey Frandsen Patterson Kruse LLP at each of its three office locations.

John has worked on behalf of his clients in reaching numerous settlements and jury trial verdicts since his first year of practice, including multiple recoveries exceeding $1,000,000.00 since 2018 with John serving as lead counsel on those cases. John also worked to obtain compensation on behalf of victims injured in the Indiana State Fair Sugarland stage collapse incident that occurred in 2011.

John was recognized and selected as an Indiana Super Lawyer in 2024 for his work representing personal injury victims. John was recognized in the Indiana Super Lawyers Magazine from 2013 through 2023 as a Rising Star. John was recognized by Best Lawyers in 2023 for his work representing personal injury victims. In 2014 through 2023, John was invited and selected to become a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers for the State of Indiana. In 2016 through 2023, John was invited and selected to become a member of The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40.

John proudly serves on the Indianapolis Legal Aid Society Board of Directors and currently serves on its Executive Committee as Secretary. He also proudly serves on the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association Board of Directors.

John has repeatedly been invited to present and speak to other attorneys through for continuing learning education by various associations and organizations over the years related to his practice of representing injury victims. These speaking opportunities include seminars put on by: the National Business Institute; the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association; the Indiana State Bar Association; the Boone County Bar Association; and the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum.

John graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University School of Law at Indianapolis before joining Parr Richey Frandsen Patterson Kruse LLP as an attorney.

John is admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana and the Federal District Court for both the Southern District of Indiana and the Northern District of Indiana.

John grew up on a grain and livestock family farm in LeRoy, Illinois. He resides with his family in Zionsville.
