Jonathan W. McConnell, the founding attorney of the McConnell Law Firm, P.A., specializes in criminal defense, including Driving Under the Influence (DUI), false sexual accusations, white collar crime and appeals. He is also highly experienced in traffic law and civil litigation.
As a noted criminal defense attorney and the leader of the firm, Jon is known for his fresh and modern approach to the ancient practice of law. He thrives on challenges and uses aggressive and bold tactics to defend his clients’ rights. Jon was drawn to the legal profession because he wanted to help people. The Wichita native earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in criminal justice from Wichita State University and then attended law school in Miami, Florida. After his education, he gained experience as a law clerk for a judge in Broward County, Florida, as an assistant district attorney in Sedgwick County, Kansas, and then at a criminal defense law firm.
Jon founded his namesake law firm in 2014, and the practice was rebranded in 2017 as the McConnell Law Firm, P.A.

Jonathan W. McConnell, founding attorney at the McConnell Law Firm, believes it is his job to protect individuals and ensure their rights when everyone turns their back. “Helping people is my passion,” says Jon. “Not only do we fix the issue, but hopefully put them in a good position so that life can go on and they don’t have to come back to us.”
