Tyler is originally from the West Coast (Washington State, to be exact) and he moved to Kentucky in 2008. Tyler attended law school at the University of Louisville, where he graduated cum laude in the top 10% of his class, was named a Brandeis Scholar, and competed on the Kaufman Securities Moot Court Team in New York City. Tyler was also able to put his business entrepreneurship undergraduate degree to use by participating in U of L's entrepreneurship clinic, which assisted start-up businesses with their legal issues.

Tyler has been practicing employment and business law since before he graduated from law school. He began working with a boutique employment law firm in Louisville out of law school, where he was named a partner in 2015, just two years out of law school. Among his accomplishments, Tyler was lead counsel on a race discrimination class action that recovered over one million dollars for the class members and his efforts have led to millions of dollars in recoveries for individual plaintiffs.

After living in Lexington and commuting to Louisville for several years. Since 2018 Tyler has worked with Robert Roark at the firm and is now a partner in Roark & Korus, PLLC,

Tyler was recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers in 2018 and 2019, and he is a Lifetime Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

In his spare time, Tyler is actively involved with his "little" brother through Big Brothers Big Sisters, and donates his efforts to Court Appointed Special Advocates, which is an organization dedicated to assisting childhood victims of abuse and neglect. Tyler is an avid tennis player, snowboarder, and occasionally plays golf until he is reminded how terrible his game is. Tyler also loves music (the SiriusXM Lithium channel is a favorite), and has been playing video games since original Nintendo.

If you’re on Google right now looking for the best employment law attorney, stop right here. You’ve found him. I had the privilege of working with Tyler as my employment law attorney, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for his outstanding representation. Tyler's unparalleled knowledge, unwavering attention to detail, and relentless advocacy made me feel like my case was his top priority. Tyler's mastery in complex employment law matters blew me away, and I say this with a paralegal background. He cut through the complexities and kept me at ease through a tough legal process. It felt like I had a friend who just happened to also be my attorney. Everyone involved in my case demonstrated kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care. I wholeheartedly recommend Tyler and his team to anyone in need of top-tier legal representation.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
