Consulted Attorney 2020Neil was top notch professional kind and kept to his word. I couldn't get over the level of work he and his staff put in just to be sure my family was getting the correct services needed. Ironically, our needs were so unique that his company could not help us, but he did NOT charge a fee for all his time and efforts....just because His specific services were not going to help our unique situation. We were glad to pay for his time and efforts but he'd not hear of it. We don't know him from Adam, but this kind man is obviously a man of great personal and professional integrity who truly just wants to help people. When we do need his type services it will be HIM personally that we will INSIST on doing our work. The level of kindness, patience with my disability that made it hard to understand our needs, etc...was so kind by Neil and all his staff. They did get us pointed in the right direction and we are extremely grateful. He saved our family a great deal of grief and money dealing with most other type professionals out there that are just in it for the money. This man cares about helping people. We are quick to recommend him and his agency to anyone we know in the area that may need their type services. Just so impressed. 5 Stars PLUS to this Group! Neil especially! Thank You! How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
