Consulted Law firm 2021I bought a birthday cake and cupcakes last night so my daughter wouldn’t get into her brother cake for today. Last night she started eating her cupcake and I took a bite of the frosting cuz that is all she really eats. I took out a sharp on both sides piece of plastic I checked the container to see if it might of cracked but the plastic did not look or feel like the container did. I took the cupcake and put the piece in a bag. Then called bridgtion Hannaford. Talked to a lady that was so nice and even tho my throats hurt from this piece of plastic I didn’t think any more of it till the next morning when my throats was very sore like something was still in it, maybe another piece.? Then my daughter started pointing down her throat saying cupcake boo-boo she is 2 1/2. Then I decided to take her to the hospital ER in Bridgton. They checked us both out and said my throat was a little red probably from the piece that was in it already that’s out..They did not see anything in her mouth but told me to watch for her she was being difficult because it was her naptime. I then went to Hannaford because the lady I talk to last night told me to go and get another cake and get refunded from the cakes. So when I went there I was rudely talk to and they kept asking for the cake after the lady lastTold me to throw it away. After asking for it three or four times and given them The plastic piece I recovered from my throat they finally told me I can go get another cake after I had to ask this time I got an ice cream cake then I had to ask for Ison so I can let her the cake with my stepson‘s birthday. Not only were they rude to me not one person out of everybody that way I was talking to apologize at all. Almost like I am making this up I am so offended and feel so disrespected because I’m not the type that makes stuff like this up especially when it comes to my children! I am so baffled by the way I was just treated I’m not sure if I will ever go back.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
