Consulted Attorney Hon. John C. Themelis 2003-2009Hello! Im sure this is out of the ordinary, but my review is for Judge John C. Themelis. Who was a Judge at the post office in Baltimore City. In 2003 I received a hung jury in his courtroom the state offered me a plea that would release me with time served, 3 yrs probation, 15y suspended sentence. Judge told me " you're walking on egg shells" so please don't come back into my courtroom for violating my probation". And what I do?! Violate his probation. In 2005, He sentence me to 9 of the 15yr. I just simply want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my life. I was released in 2009 and have been doing great things since returning back into society. I'm now married to my wife of 15yrs, I have 4 wonderful children, I'm a CDL driver for 5yrs now. I'm unable to get my Hazmat because of my conviction but I'm grateful nonetheless. Lol. This man saved me sent me to prison and made me the man i am today. I'm not to sure if he's still around I pray to God that he is. Just to give him a hug and tell him thank you. My name is William Holloman and I'll forever be grateful to that man. Judge John C. Themelis for seeing something in me that I didn't see in myself, for helping change my life. I haven't been bk to jail since. Again thank you..

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
