Hired Attorney 2019THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST UNPROFFESIONAL, LAZY, UNORGANIZED LAW FIRM THAT I HAVE EVERE EXPERIENCED. THE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN STAFF AND CLIENTS ARE HORRIBLE. YOU HAVE TO CALL THERE PHONE ATLEAST 3 DAYS IN A ROW TO GET AN ANSWER JUST FOR THEM TO FORWARD YOU OVER TO SOMEONE VOICEMAIL WHO WILL NEVER RETURN YOUR CALL. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR SINCE MY CASE AND I STILL HAVENT HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT MY LOSS WAGES WHICH IS WAS HANDLED WITHIN THE FIRST 3 WEEKS WITH MY PREVIOUS CASE WITH A DIFFERENT LAWYER. FIRST AND LAST TIME EVER STEPPING FOOT IN THIS GHETTO FIRM. THEY CLAIM THEY BEEN UNDER CONSTRUCTION FOR THE LAST 9 MONTHS BUT THE OFFICE IS ONLY ABOUT 100 SQ FT IFF THAT. THEN I FINALLY READ UP ON THEM AND THEIR PARTNER FIRM (JOHNATHAN RESNICK) TO ONLY FIND OUT THAT THESE LAWYERS BORROWED MILLIONS OF DOLLARS FROM A COMPANY TO FUND SOME OF THE SETTLEMENTS AND THEN DISSAPEARED, SHUT DOWN THE ORIGINAL FIRM, AND MERGED WITH ANOTHER PARTNER TO TRY TO AVOID REPAYMENT. THEY HAVE AN ACTIVE CASE AGAINST THEM AS OF AUGUST 2019 AND BEING SUED FOR 9.129 MILLION DOLLARS. NEVER USE THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
