Consulted Law firm 2024Called today to speak with Kristie to see if she has found out any information pertaining to my account for me. In stead of speaking with Kristie I was meet with a rude young lads by the name of Nicole, I asked a simple question and Nicole said she didn’t know the answer and I was provided to ask another question Nicole told me to “not to interrupt in a very condescending manner”. I have never received such terrible customer service in my life.

Consulted Law firm 2007-2021Bottom feeders who've found their niche in HOA collections. They are non responsive, they don't forward communications and payments in a timely manner, and their systems are antiquated. if you're in the debt collection business why is it so hard to pay you????

Consulted Law firm 2019I called in because I found a delinquent notice in my moms mail. She passed in June from brain cancer and I was her sole care taker. I told this to the admin when they asked why I didn’t pay this sooner. She told me to involve my lawyer at which point I asked why I can’t deal with it myself instead of paying lawyer fees. She was short had absolutely no compassion sure I’m grieving I’m not my best but you’re at work so I’m not sure what that justification is. So disgusting.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
