I was referred to George Ohlson by word of mouth from another attorney that I very much enjoyed working with the past but unfortunately, she was overloaded with work of her own and was unable to make my hearing so she referred me to George. I found George to be very easy to understand when he explains things. on time (even early arriving) to the court, he was polite, and handled my hearing so well it was dismissed. Thank you so much George!

George is the best! Knows the law inside and out, and was able to explain all the complexities in terms I could understand. Over a 5 year span he guided me through multiple OUI/driving offenses in 3 different district courts - Dedham, Fitchburg, and Clinton. Didn't matter what court house or who the judge was, George was eventually able to get the results I was desperately hoping for. Without a doubt, he is the primary reason I'm not in jail today and the primary reason I was able to turn my life around. Tough as nails, and an even better human being. Highly recommend to friends and family, and if I ever have to go back to court he'll be the first person I call.

Great results, saved a lot of time, George is smart, efficient and reliable . He is sincere and a great human, which is what I value most. he knows what you want and will respect you, And strive to protect your interests . I can say G saved my life, if I encounter the same situation in the future again, G will be my first choice without a doubt.

Attorney Ohlson was simply masterful in his strategies when dealing with the unfortunate instance when I was arrested for the first and only time in my life. At that time I really had no idea what was going on and wasn't even particularly corporative with my own attorney, but Attorney Ohlson still managed to take the optimal decision every step of the way. Not only did Attorney Ohlson obtain the best possible outcome for me, he also helped me get the mental health treatment I needed in order to avoid making mistakes that may have gotten me into future legal trouble. My life would likely be much worse now had I not been represented by Attorney Ohlson and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking the services he provide.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
