Daniel T. Geherin is a board-certified criminal defense attorney in Ann Arbor, and he has been practicing law for over 25+ years. Mr. Geherin is licensed to practice law in Michigan and California. In California, he was a Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney prosecuting gang offenses, sexual assaults, major narcotics violations, juvenile delinquency, and complex white collar criminal offenses. As a defense attorney, he has defended nearly every type of allegation, including hundreds of criminal sexual conduct offenses, homicide cases, drug cases, domestic violence charges, embezzlement and fraud investigations, home invasion and theft offenses, and countless drunk driving violations. In his civil practice, he has successfully represented thousands of clients in civil/administrative proceedings throughout Southeastern Michigan. In all, Mr. Geherin has helped over 2,000 clients in criminal, civil, juvenile and license cases, and he has completed over 200 trials.
Mr. Geherin is a frequent lecturer and contributor to the Institute of Continuing Legal Education (ICLE), and a published author. He is member of the Washtenaw County Bar Association, where he is the past Chairperson of the Criminal Law Section, and of the Federal Bar Association Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Geherin is married to Lisa, another Ann Arbor Attorney, and has two teenage children. He was born and raised in Ypsilanti and continues to live in Washtenaw County. He is an avid Detroit sports fan and also loves music, movies, great restaurants and traveling with friends and family.
