Overview
Randall ‘Randy’ Lewis is a Michigan criminal defense attorney and founding partner of LEWIS & SADRNIA, PLLC. For more than three decades, he has devoted his career to defending people accused of crimes in Michigan state and federal courts.
Since beginning his criminal defense practice in 1992, Mr. Lewis has handled cases ranging from complex criminal investigations and serious felony prosecutions to trials and federal criminal matters. His experience gives him something that cannot be learned from a textbook: the judgment that comes from more than 30 years of evaluating evidence, confronting difficult legal issues, negotiating with prosecutors, appearing in courtrooms, and helping clients navigate some of the most consequential moments of their lives.
Mr. Lewis earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University in 1992. Mr. Lewis has been admitted to practice law in all Michigan State Courts in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He clerked for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office from 1990-1992 in the Appeals Division, writing appellate briefs. This experience gave Mr. Lewis extensive experience and knowledge in criminal law and the inter-workings of a prosecutor’s office. After entering private practice in 1992, Mr. Lewis co-founded a criminal defense firm where he practiced for over three decades before founding LEWIS & SADRNIA, PLLC with attorney Parisa Sadrnia.
Mr. Lewis believes the most important decisions in a criminal case often begin with understanding the case better than anyone else in the room. Clients who retain Mr. Lewis receive the benefit of his experience directly. He believes that when someone's freedom, reputation, career, family, or future is threatened, the client should know the lawyer responsible for protecting it. He takes the time to understand the person behind the case, explain the available options candidly, and develop a defense based on the client's particular circumstances and objectives.
