Overview

Ms. Bono has over 35 years of legal experience in handling complex family law cases both as a paralegal and as a distinguished attorney. Ms. Bono has been associated with several prominent family law firms in the Metro-Detroit area where she has represented both men and women in every socioeconomic class, including stay-at-home parents, blue collar workers, business owners and other professionals. Ms. Bono also has extensive experience representing professional athletes, professional entertainers and other high profile members of the community. At the same time, Ms. Bono gives back to the community by donating time to organizations in need of legal services.

Ms. Bono earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctor degree from Western Michigan University - Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating Cum Laude. Ms. Bono is a former Board Member of Paralegal Studies for Baker College and has been a frequent lecturer in the area of professional ethics. Ms. Bono has also been an integral part of organizing the annual Advanced Family Law Seminar presented by the Michigan Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers ("AAML") for over 14 years and has been honored by the AAML for her efforts in doing so.

Throughout her career, Ms. Bono has directly assisted with and participated in thousands of cases involving every aspect of family law, including client interviews, development of discovery, preparation of clients for deposition, conducting depositions, development of trial testimony, witness interviews, preparation and participation of cases for mediation, arbitration and trial. Her many years of intensive training and experience, combined with her strong sense of discipline, preparedness and dedication provides her clients with the strong and effective representation they need to handle their legal issues.

Ms. Bono is highly experienced in all aspects of family law, including jurisdictional issues, divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, paternity, prenuptial agreements and post-judgment matters. Understanding that each client and every family law matter brings a unique set of circumstances, she is sensitive, compassionate and acutely aware of the concerns of her clients in these difficult matters, always taking the time to listen and getting to know her clients and their individual needs. In doing so, Ms. Bono is always fully prepared and ready to fight to help achieve her client's objectives.
