As a parent, you do everything in your power to protect your children. To learn that my daughter was a victim of sexual assault was absolutely devastating. After I learned what happened to my daughter, I was not sure of what steps I should take next. I decided to seek out help from White Law. It was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Jamie White, Alex Rusek, and the White Law staff were able to guide my daughter and my family through one of the hardest times in our lives. Not only did Jamie and his staff listen to my daughter, but they believed her. My daughter was terrified to come forward and speak her truth. For them to believe her, and then want to fight for her, meant the world to my family. Everyone at White Law was easy to talk to, and they answered all of our questions thoroughly and quickly. They understood what we were going through as a family. White Law acted as her advocate during a time that she needed it the most. White Law was dependable and I knew that they had the best interest of my daughter in mind at all times. They were exactly the type of law firm that our family needed.

Surviving sexual assault was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I was abused as a child and suffered the long lasting effects into my adult life. I tried to suppress the assaults, but my mind would constantly be triggered, and I was unable to keep the assaults out of my mind. My anxiety was so severe that I was diagnosed with depression. I was so traumatized that it affected me physically, causing me to lose 40 pounds. There were many days that I struggled to even function. I was constantly in a state of stress and anxiety. Jamie White and the White Law PLLC team helped me get back control of my life. White Law was there for me when I was not sure where to turn or what to do. They helped me every step of the way. They accommodated all of my needs and answered all of my questions. I was living a nightmare, and they made a horrible situation go smoothly for me. It would have been impossible for me to begin to heal without the care and support that was offered by White Law. They made the entire situation as easy as possible on me. I never expected a law firm and attorneys to be so understanding and supportive of my circumstances. I would highly recommend anyone dealing with any sexual assault or legal action to use White Law. I cannot thank Jamie White and his team enough for being there for me throughout every step of the process.

Jamie and his team were with me every step of the way. They answered calls and questions at any point 24/7, were patient when explaining jargon and law to me, and made me feel cared for as a client. I really felt that they gave me their full attention throughout the journey, and I can't thank them enough for that.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
