Our founder, Lawrence A. Kajy, built this firm on a different philosophy. Early in his career, while processing settlement checks in Detroit, he witnessed a troubling pattern: injured clients waited months, sometimes years, without updates, only to receive modest settlements because their attorneys accepted an insurer's first convenient offer rather than preparing for trial. He resolved to practice law differently, prioritizing his clients' recovery over shortcuts that favored ease over advocacy.
That founding principle still guides everything we do. We assign dedicated teams to every case, maintain consistent communication from intake through resolution and pursue the full value of each claim rather than settling for administrative convenience.
Our work centers on three priorities. First, we help clients secure the no-fault medical benefits Michigan law guarantees, benefits insurers frequently delay, dispute or underpay. Second, we pursue full compensation for pain and suffering, lost wages and long-term disability, rather than accepting less than a case is worth. Third, when another driver's negligence caused the collision, we pursue third-party claims to recover damages beyond standard no-fault coverage.
By declining to handle unrelated practice areas such as slip-and-falls, medical malpractice or criminal defense, we preserve the depth of experience that distinguishes our advocacy.
