Hired Law firm 2018-2019Are you an Estate Planning Procrastinator??? After years of putting off doing estate planning (because honestly, who has the time to add something that time consuming to days that are already too full), I took Step 1 and called Nicole Graf. She and her team took over from there. They made the process unbelievably easy! So much of what I had envisioned I would be compiling and researching, they did for us! As we worked through the process, Nicole gave me the next step and then the next. I always had clear direction of what I needed to get for her. She put everything into a very clear, totally organized chart (who doesn’t love that!!!) that we can update as the years go by and our wishes change. I almost never write reviews. The experience has to be pretty extreme for me to think that what I say might matter to someone else. In this case, our experience was extreme: extremely good, easy, complete, reasonably priced, fast! Take Step 1…call Nicole Graf. She will change your procrastinating to action and help you make a plan to pass your assets to those you love (or protect your assets from those you don’t!!! ).

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
