Minnesota Immigration Law Firm

Overview

Vicki Anderson has international experience and knows what it is like to be a foreigner living in another country. She practiced U.S. immigration law in London, United Kingdom where she had regular contact with the U.S. Embassy London. She also previously was a student in Santiago, Chile.

Ms. Anderson has been working in the field of U.S. immigration law since 1995. Since that time, she has helped hundreds of people navigate the complex U.S. immigration system and has worked with people all over the world. She has also been through the U.S. immigration process with her own husband, who she met while living in the United Kingdom. She helped him become a conditional permanent resident, then helped him remove the conditions on his permanent resident status, and finally helped him become a naturalized U.S. citizen.

When you hire Vicki Anderson Immigration Law, you will get a knowledgeable, dedicated, and honest attorney working on your behalf. Unlike many other law firms, you will work directly with an attorney, not a paralegal.

Vicki Anderson received her Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law) in 2002 and was admitted to practice law in Minnesota that same year.

I have used Vicki several times over the years, she is extremely knowledgeable regarding the US immigration process and made the whole process easy and straightforward. Every time I have worked with Vicki it has been so easy. She is incredibly professional and went the extra mile to help us meet tight deadlines stipulated by the US Embassy and always kept me informed and up to date on the process. I would not hesitate to recommend Vicki to anyone. Thank you Vicki.

Vicki Anderson is extremely capable, knowledgable, and easy to work with. She made the immigration process as straightforward for us as possible, charged a flat rate which she communicated at the beginning, and was always responsive and kept us informed.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
