Overview
At Two Rivers Law P.A., our attorney, David Cox, is there to deliver aggressive defense for people charged with crimes in Otsego, Minnesota. For over 10 years, our law office has helped clients avoid penalties, including jail time, fines, driver’s license suspension and probation for a broad array of allegations. Although we are often able to obtain the dismissal or reduction of charges without going to trial, as experienced litigators, we are never afraid to pursue the best possible outcome in court.
In addition to criminal cases, our law office handles sensitive family matters. We are there to set our clients up for success during the emotional and high-stress process of divorce. Our attorney addresses issues such as:
- Property division
- Child custody
- Child support
- Spousal maintenance
- Domestic violence
- Modifications
We also offer niche counsel for families during the stepparent adoption process. Whenever necessary, our attorney intervenes in cases involving Children in Need of Protection or Services. Acting in the best interest of children, we defend clients against CHIPS charges and educate parents on their case plan requirements.
When our firm is not finding solutions for criminal and family matters, we are doing so for business and real estate transactions. Our attorney not only negotiates contracts but also handles disputes involving construction, boundaries, purchases, sales and leases. If necessary, we represent clients in general litigation.
Whether their cases are in the cities of Elk River, Anoka, Rogers, Monticello, Big Lake, Princeton, Buffalo or Maple River, we invite prospective clients to meet with us at our law office for a free initial consultation. We also offer legal assistance in the greater counties of Sherburne, Anoka, Wright and Western Hennepin. Two Rivers Law P.A. accepts credit cards as payment.

Hired Attorney Samantha Sherman 2023-2025Divorce is one of the most difficult of life experiences, and I came close to representing myself, until I met Samantha. In my experience, I highly recommend NOT representing yourself. Sam worked with me regarding finances and making affordable payments etc. I could never have survived all of the "unknowns" that were yet to come without the professional support and wisdom I received from Samantha and her "tag team", Hannah and Tif. All of them were my professional "Pit Bulls"(with class) whom I could call, text or email anytime and they always got back to me! In the beginning, I wanted nothing, other than to just be divorced...walk away from everything and just be done. I was SO emotionally "spent"! Sam was insistent that I get what was fairly owed to me and while I just wanted to cave, and she continued to fight for me. In the end, I got above and beyond any expectations I never had! I learned that while I didn't think I could afford an attorney (much less a really GOOD one!) I couldn't have afforded to NOT have her represent me. Sam had my back in every way, in which I would be paid off the top...no more chasing games, no more struggles, so when it was over, it really was OVER and I have never had to look back at that difficult time in my life ever since. Samantha, Tiff and Hannah will always be like extended family to me and I will always highly recommend this amazing and caring Law Firm Team!
