Jared was since an Assistant City Attorney in Fargo, North Dakota, where he prosecuted municipal crimes, and spent more than six years with a private general practice firm where he handled all of the firm's family law, including divorce, custody, child support, parenting time, adoptions, restraining orders, and civil commitments, as well as a portion of the firm's business dispute and personal injury claims.

Jared relocated to southern Minnesota in 2021 to spend more time with his family. In his free time, Jared enjoys following the Vikings and Twins, biking, golfing, and hiking with his golden retriever.
