Hired Law firm 2023Horrible, unprofessional and did nothing but lie to our family. I hired Mr. Campbell on 3/15/2023 and gave him a retainer of $3,500 to handle a foster case where we were trying to adopt a foster child. I terminated that contract on 5/1/2023 after Mr. Campbell did absolutely nothing. He could not give you a case number in this matter, nor has he represented us, other than showing up for a court date that we shouldn’t have because he had absolutely no idea about our case. I have emailed and sent numerous texts to Mr. Campbell to return our retainer along with the law firm, Vance Bonner Law Firm that I sent the money to without any response or return of unused retainer.

Consulted Law firm 2018-2019Mr. Jerry Campbell is a very compassionate and understanding attorney. And honest. He will tell the truth. He may not can promise you results when it comes too the cold hardness when it comes to the courtrooms. But he does believe in justice for the weak and the poor. I applaud Mr. Campbell. Even at the worst of my injustice. But no courts can take away my god or my truth. Thank u Mr.Campbell for at least trying for me. And may god reward u. Even if I'm still pending with my alienation case. God bless u.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
