Timothy Riley Morgan has been recognized for obtaining exceptional results for his clients for over a decade of representing people in states across the country. For the past 15 years Tim’s caseload has primarily focused on complex wrongful death and permanent injury cases involving defectively designed or manufactured products, semi-truck crashes, car crashes, and railroad crossing collisions.

Tim worked in his home town, Lexington, Missouri, for the law firm of Langdon & Emison in 2005, upon completing a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Thomas C. Clark in the Circuit Court of Jackson County where he also served as the bailiff.

During his time as a lawyer Tim has been an integral part of collecting more than $100 million dollars in verdicts and settlements. Tim and fellow lawyer Rob Sullivan were recognized by Missouri Lawyer’s weekly for obtaining one of the top 20 verdicts reported in 2006 for the entire State of Missouri. The case involved the wrongful death of a man due to defective brakes. In 2009, Tim was recognized as one of the top 40 lawyers under the age of 40, and as a “Rising Star” in the legal community of Missouri and Kansas by Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyers. Tim has been selected by his peers as a Super Lawyer in both Missouri and Kansas for several years in a row, which is awarded to 1% of the lawyers in the state. In 2014, Tim, Erik Bergmanis, and Rob Sullivan were recognized by Missouri Lawyer’s Weekly for obtaining a 15 million dollar verdict for their client, which was the largest verdict in the entire state of Missouri for the year of 2014, and the largest verdict ever reported in Camden County, which involved representing a burn victim who received life threatening injuries when his boat exploded into fire at a gas dock located on the Lake of the Ozarks. Tim and Erik Bergmanis first started working together on complex cases back in 2004 when they represented burn victims that were injured when a RV exploded into flames here at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Tim received his college degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri – Columbia and was member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He next earned his Law Degree with Distinction from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. He graduated 4th in his class of 186 people. His honors in law school included being a part of the Bench and Robe Honor Society at graduation, being chosen as a member of the Law Review, being chosen to be a recipient of the outstanding service award from the Johnson County Prosecutor’s office during his second year of law school, and receiving awards for obtaining the highest law school final exam score in two of his classes.

Tim has experience and helped obtain results in wrongful death and severe injury cases in several different states across the country against some of the largest corporations in the country, including General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Union Pacific Railroad, Toyota, Honda, Norfolk Southern railroad, CSX railroad, Brunswick Corporation, and others.

Tim played competitive basketball when he was in high school and junior college, he still enjoys playing basketball, tennis, and riding mountain bikes when he and his wife are not enjoying their time cheering for their three children during their sporting events, or, while they are fishing here at Lake of the Ozarks, where he and his wife have recently moved to raise their family.
