Jeffrey Abney - Hillsboro, MO

Jeffrey Abney joined Roberts, Wooten, and Zimmer in 2025. He received his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2021 and received B.A. in Legal Studies from Webster University in 2018 as well as a B.S. in Business Administration from Columbia College in 2012. Jeffrey is licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri. Jeffrey’s legal practice focuses on Domestic Relations and Family law.

During his time in law school, Jeffrey focused on consumer advocacy and completed two clinics at the Maryland Attorney Generals Office in their Consumer Protection Division. He also was lucky enough to testify in front of the Maryland State Assembly and State Senate advocating for legislation his consumer protection class drafted which would change a racially disparate law pertaining to body attachments and civil debts. Jeffrey was the President of the University of Maryland Association of Legislative Law (UMALL) and the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) while in law school. Jeffrey won the CALI award for Consumer Protection in 2019, the University of Maryland Community Scholar Prize for Justice Based Scholarship in 2021, and the University of Maryland Public Service Award in 2021. Prior to his legal career, Jeffrey served honorably in the United States Army.

He is the father of three children and in his free time he enjoys reading, playing pickleball, shooting pool, and watching movies.
