    Consulted Law firm 2024
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the unprofessional conduct I experienced while attempting to schedule an appointment with one of your attorneys at the Tracey L. Robinson Law Firm in Kansas City, Kansas. On 8/9/24 at around 12:07PM, I contacted your office with the intention of setting up a consultation to discuss my concerns with a licensed attorney. Unfortunately, I was met with an extremely rude paralegal who not only refused to schedule the appointment but also displayed a shocking lack of professionalism. When I requested to schedule a consultation, the paralegal was dismissive and uncooperative. Each time I asked for her name, which I felt was a reasonable request given the situation, she abruptly hung up on me. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also highly unethical. As a potential client, I found this experience to be extremely frustrating and disappointing. I believe that every individual who contacts your firm deserves to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of the nature of their inquiry. Given this experience, I must strongly advise others to avoid your firm. I hope that you will take appropriate action to address the behavior of the paralegal involved and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future.

The Missouri and Kansas Rules of Professional Conduct do not allow me to respond to online reviews by clients. However, having reviewed my records, since I have never represented you in any capacity whatsoever, I am free to respond. You rudely asked my assistant multiple times if we would represent you in removing a bankruptcy that you previously filed from your credit report. Each time you asked, she stated that we do not provide that type of service! We represent clients in filing for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy relief! Despite having told you that each time you asked, you insisted on scheduling an appointment with our office and specifically stated that you do not want to file another bankruptcy. In short, you were asking for services that WE DO NOT PROVIDE! For your information, you may file a dispute with the credit reporting bureaus to have INACCURATE information removed. You stated that you had previously filed a bankruptcy and that it was dismissed. Therefore, the information regarding the bankruptcy that you filed PRO SE is ACCURATE! It would be unethical for me or any attorney to dispute ACCURATE information on any credit report merely in the hopes of getting it removed by misleading any credit bureau!! The only product I have to offer is my time! Why would my assistant schedule an appointment that would be nothing but a waste of my time? I believe that this "review" contains false statements made with malicious intent or reckless disregard for the truth. Therefore, I strongly suggest that you remove it or I may take legal action against you.

    Recommends this Law firm
I had an excellent experience with this firm and namely Chelsea. She was motivated, VERY responsive, and was able to rectify my issues with little effort on my part. I was impressed with the whole process, and would highly recommend them.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
