I am 42 y/o. In 2020, I was in a very scary wreck that broke my back, I already had fibromyalgia, so this was a life changer. My 1st attorney did nothing, nothing! Kyle Sciolaro is my attorney at BurnettDriskill, and honestly he is family now. 5 years, I was ignored and still jumped through every hoop that was asked. When they denied me the first time, I could have given up. Kyle replied to my plea for help with in an hour of me sending my message. 2 days later, he met with me and face to face, he listened he was patient, he was who myself, and anyone else in this position. He has never given up on me and kept me in the loop, always. I wish you were physically in my presence, the day you sent me the WIN, message, because (A: HUUUUGE HUG) for the first time, you would have seen me cry, from happiness for the first time.... in a very long time. Thank you, Kyle. Thank you for every step and every moment you gave to my case. GO TO BURNETTDRISKILL FIRST!!!! I tell you all this, because I have struggled and fallen apart so many times, and none of them were necessary, if I had found them 1st.

I have had an open case since September of 2021. My lawyer through BurnettDriskill was highly incompetent. They allowed the judge to rule against me, and did nothing to follow up to dispute the incorrect ruling. They allowed the nonsense determination of the judge to be final and didn't try for another appeal. Then they had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to start a new claim, with the Onset date of Oct 29th, 2024. So, the past 3 years of medical records and my medical history of all time are null and void if I were to move forward. Now they expect me to start a brand new claim. I am unable to even move off of the couch I've been living on for the past 4 years and have been dealing with these issues for 20 years. This feels like malpractice and negligence due to a complete lack of communication between my lawyer and myself. I was never told how they thought the case would transpire. Everything was up in the air, and I never knew the status or what was going on during this 3 year period. They did not give me the right preparation for a trial. This all resulted in a waste of 3 years, and now I have no claim and can not use the past 3 years of medical history, according to them. DO NOT USE BurnettDriskill, unless you have 3 years of your life to waste for absolutely nothing.

We regret that we were not able to meet your expectations. We take seriously client confidentiality and are not able to respond with specific details, but we do not believe this is a fair description of your relationship with our office.

Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
