I would leave more stars if I could for Mr. Morrey and his assistant Stephanie. These two are true blessings and have helped me in ways that I could not say thank you enough to. They are both very professional, smart and understanding. Something that is a lost art in most law firms. Not this one. I was made to feel heard, comfortable and not judged. If you ever feel lost and don’t know where to turn with legal problems. I would recommend The Law office of Mr. Joseph Morrey. His assistant Stephanie is amazing at taking information and listening to the issues at hand. She is kind and makes you feel instantly welcomed. Mr. Morrey is kind Knowledgeable and a man of faith. He will bring “Hope” back to your heart. Your in good hands with this law firm!!!

Choosing an attorney is like choosing a jet pilot, a seasoned navigator and an interpreter all in one. At our first meeting, Joe identified where we needed to go, how to get there and spoke in a language we understood. Don’t hire a pilot in training, a guide who can’t read a map or someone who doesn’t speak your language. Your stakes are too high. Make Joe Morrey your first and only choice for your legal matters. We did.

worse lawyer i ever dealt with. he was unethical and untruthful throughout the 3 years in which him and his friend were involved in. i believe they purposefully wasted this time to exaust the statue of limitations which in a malpractice in mo at least at the time waz 3 years.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
