Firm Information
Overview
Working on behalf of small and mid-sized businesses, I handle all aspects of employment and labor law. My practice, Rowe Law Office, LLC, is based in St. Louis, Missouri. There, I counsel, support and advocate for my clients. I have more than 30 years of experience steering companies through cases that involve:
- Contracts and employment agreements
- Discrimination and other employee complaints
- Shareholder and business disputes
- Arbitration, mediation, litigation and appeals
I have the ability to represent my clients from start to finish. In the courtroom, I am a well-respected litigator with an impressive record. I have personally served as a mediator in more than 40 disputes involving employment law. My litigation experience allows me to spot the types of matters and decisions that can lead to disputes and helps me devise a strategy to avoid or minimize risk. My law office is known for providing practical solutions which conserve a client's financial resources while protecting the business's bottom line. My priority is reaching a solution without having to go to trial, thus preserving a client's resources and avoiding an unpredictable result.
As a small-business owner myself, I recognize the importance of affordability and convenience. Rather than expecting my clients come to me, I meet with my clients in their place of business or use technology so communications are as convenient as possible. I work with my clients to develop a strategy that fits their needs. Rowe Law Office, LLC, offers a competitive hourly rate. Additionally, I am willing to work with clients on either a fixed or a capped rate to meet the demands of their budget.

Customer Reviews for Rowe Law Office, LLC

Hired Law firm 2023Susan helped me negotiate a severance agreement when I was terminated in a reduction in force. She convinced my former employer to offer me more than it had originally proposed, hiding behind policy. Susan is responsive, knowledgeable about employment law, and easy to work with. She explained her reasoning in a way that resonated with me and she took the necessary time to make sure I understood her logic. Her fees were reasonable and fare.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
