Hired Attorney 2018-2025This man right here has pulled for me and has seen The Best of Me whenever I was at my worst and has led me in the right direction and because of him and myself, but a lot of his help. I am now 2 and a 1/2 years clean on December 1st. I couldn't have asked for a better attorney

Hired Attorney 2022All I can say is the man walked on water for me. You can tell when someone really wants to help you and he did. I had a probation officer that really had it out for me and painted a picture of me to the courtroom that was not true. After speaking with Dan in front of the court. I'll say she had been put in her rightful place and I had no problem holding my head high it was actually one of the best days I can remember ever. I was still later sentenced but my punishment was fair and understandable. That's not how it would have gone Dan not been in my corner I know that and I am so grateful.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
