    Hired Law firm 2016-2018
Eric Blank and it's associates lied to me. I had an accident in 2016 and I got recommended to the Eric Blank law office, the first day I went to his law office I was helped by Veronica, she was very nice and helpful. Once they got my signature in the representation agreement everything changes. Eric Blank assigned Jessica to my case, Jessica was very rude and never was available when I has to call them with questions. I placed a review in Yelp and Eric personally called me to see what he could do so I remove my review from Yelp. He scheduled a meeting and assigned Karina as my case manager, nothing changed too much, communication con Karina was a little bit better but they lied to me, they said that medical records were requested and when I checked with the clinics a request was never sent. Eric Blank and his law office did not provided appropriate medical care to me when I really needed, they said that I need insurance to go to the doctor even that I hired them to represent and get me compensation for medical expenses. I was able to go to the pain management only one time and Chiropractic, Eric refused to pay for my medical appointments. I had to look for another attorney, Gina Corena referred me with a Pain Management doctors and she paid for all the doctors expenses, I was able to get a diagnostic and get back injections to calm the pain caused but the injuries of the motor vehicle accident and the long time without medication due to Eric Blank refused to pay for an specialist visits. Eric Blank advised me to get primary care doctors visits (that is crazy) After I hired Gina Corena as my attorney I was able to get medical care and procedures I needed to get better. I have supporting information for my allegation of how my back injuries got worst because Eric Blank recommendation and not providing medical care. At the end of my case Eric Blank charged 5000+ from my case compensation and I was able to get only less than 2000 with several medical expenses. I had to file bankruptcy because all the medical bills on September 2019. I am going to try to resolve this issue one more time, and If I don't get a resolution from Eric Blank I will proceed with a complaint with the Nevada Bar State and legal actions to pursue damages compensation.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
