Hired Law firm 2008-2025Mallon & Tranger The BEST of the Best!! Cream of the Crop I've used both Thomas and Randall. For over 17 years. Facing serious charges in 2008 i trusted Tom with my defense and he came through. I might add that his retainer was a 3rd of several other attorneys my family contacted at the time. Tom was professional courtesy and well respected throughout the justice system. Tom was always available if i had a question or concern as he gave me his personal cell number. Tom was able to resolve the case better than I thought was possible. In 2012 I found myself in need for a worker's compensation attorney. I reached out to Tom for a recommendation and low and behold his partner Randall Tranger specializes in w/c cases. Randall has represented me in several W/C reopened. Randy is like Tom professional courteous available. 2025 driving offense Tom once again presented a case before Brick Township and I was very satisfied with the outcome. I'd also like to acknowledge Randys paralegal Wendy and Tom's paralegal Patty always very pleasant and professional when I'd call the office. There's no other law firm I would call besides Mallon &Tranger

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
