Rotem Peretz joined the firm in May 2016. His practice is dedicated exclusively to Family Law and related matters, and is experienced in the areas of divorce, custody and parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, post-judgment issues, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence, and appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Peretz clerked for the Honorable Nancy Sivilli, J.S.C., Family Part – Essex County (2013-2014), after which he entered private practice with an Essex County law firm. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
In addition to the practice of law, Mr. Peretz is actively involved in the legal community. He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (Family Law Executive Committee, Young Lawyers Subcommittee) and the Monmouth County Bar Association, and serves as an Associate Editor of the New Jersey Family Lawyer. Mr. Peretz was selected to the 2018 New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars list published by Thomson Reuters in the area of Family Law. Hired Attorney 2017-2020Divorce is never easy; however, my case was extremely complicated. I felt alone, and extremely scared. In addition to the ending of a family, I was faced with legal and financial complications that I never expected as a result of my divorce. Ten years later, I am still fighting. However, there has been one light through all of this, and that has been having Rotem Peretz as my attorney. When I first met Rotem, I had already been divorced, but had to deal with unexpected additional issues. He saw me through each and every one of them with an unparalleled knowledge of the law, an ability to strategize in a non-reactive, but protective way, and a gift of compelling and unwavering presentation. Those characteristics alone are what anyone in my situation should be looking for; however, what makes Rotem so rare and such a gift is his compassion for his clients. Despite its many layers, he remembers EVERYTHING about my case. He brings a genuine and authentic caring to the work he does; he cares about my well-being, he cares about my children’s well-being, and he has the patience to listen but also keep the issues clear despite the emotion involved. Rotem was not an “on the clock” attorney; I received responses from him at all hours and it was clear he was answering me as soon as he could. Rotem is also honest. He thinks out of the box and comes up with incredibly creative solutions to difficult issues, but he is realistic and manages expectations without giving false hope or promises he cannot keep. While my circumstances have been difficult to say the least, I have felt guided and taken care of under the thoughtful and compassionate guidance of an attorney like Rotem. Not all attorneys are created the same. For me, Rotem’s “bedside manner,” along with his unwavering expertise has made it clear that there is no other choice. I have been largely successful in each and every one of the issues that have come up since my divorce, and I only have Rotem Peretz to thank for that. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who is lucky enough to choose him to be on their side.
